Malcolm "Merk Musik" Lewis was born in West Baltimore, MD. At i young age Malcolm always had an interest in music. At the age 8 he pick up his first instrument, which was the violin. At the the age 10 he switched to the saxophone, and at 14, he was able to play 5 different instruments fluently. Music in school taught Malcolm about beats and measurements and things of that nature, and his interest in hip-hop music altered his path to go into producing beats for his enjoyment. At the age 15, his friend introduced him into a software for producing called Reason. Then at 17 he switched to a program called Acid Pro, on which he continues to work with, but he's also trying to learn different types of software as well.
