A parody of Steely Dan's Do It Again. It's about snack food.
I've been creating all kinds of songs for over 30 years, but I never sell any of them. I try to give them away to charities that have musician spokespeople, but
Story behind the song
I really did eat a lot of Cracker Jack as a kid, & as an adult, I sometimes do just go for the dessert. One day, I even had it for all three meals. I am very cool, & I do win rather often. I sang it while holding one nostril closed.
Lyrics
When you were a little toddler,
You put fun foods in your tummy,
But you didn't have much money,
So you had to ask your Mummy,
And your favorite kind of snack food,
Had a sailor on the cover,
If your Mom bought you a box,
You'd have to tell her that you love her, yeah.
You get Cracker Jack.
Eat with your hand,
You'll get the prize inside,
You get Cracker Jack,
Eat with your hand.
Now you've got your Fiddle Faddle,
And you've got your Screaming Yellow,
Zonkers just don't make you happy,
Like that little sailor fellow,
So you open up the bottom,
Just to get that piece of paper,
If you weren't really hungry,
You could eat that fine food later, yeah.
( Chorus )
In the morning, you have Snap food,
But you also have your Crackle,
And they Pop when you add milk,
That sits inside your guts like Spackle,
So you often skip your breakfast,
And then sometimes lunch & dinner,
The cool kid who eats dessert first,
Well, he'll always be a winner, yeah!
( Chorus )
