I'm Joe Johnson a local United Methodist Pastor. Before I felt God calling me into the ministry I thought I was going to be a rap artist. For 8 years I did nothing with music until my wife introduced me to a group called "The Gospel Gansters" in 1998. It was an eye opening experience. I was amazed to see people using rap for the glory of God. That day I picked up paper and pen and I haven't put it down yet.

I've been reading a book called "Not a fan" It's about how to be a committed follower of Jesus Christ. The author Kyle Idelman says that for to long we have soft sold Christianity. We make it sound like you don't have to do anything. All you have to do is believe, not really change. Jesus said "If any one would come after me, let him deny himself, pick up his cross daily, and follow me.

this is what it means to be a Christian - you can have this.

And I was shocked when I found for myself what Jesus said
He made it clear, If anyone would come after me

The good news is that anyone can be a follow Christ
He takes you as you are, but then best believe he changes you life
We wont be perfect, But if we let him work this
He will change us deep within - not just the surface
