an anti-war and anti-gun song, this is a demo made in 1998 in my home town at the now defunct Impulse Studios. I never worked in a studio till 2006.

Story behind the song
I wrote this way back when I was but a boy! It's the first song I had professionally recorded. This is the original version, I added a middle 8 relatively recently but I thought I'd start with this. My grandfather used to take me walking a lot from his house, we spent great time together. I was his first grandchild to be followed by 5 girls! I got this idea of a grandfather trying to explain a war museum to his grandchild some time in the future. I chose Waterloo to rhyme with true and fit in and Hastings, Berlin and Vietnam to represent a broad range of battles/wars, Berlin primarily because of the Wall. Hastings is a small place in England, scene of a famous battle against the French. 'Vietnam' pays homage to those (of you) over the pond. It's Parental Advisory simply because of the gun reference.
Lyrics
Hopefully you can hear these but if not let me know. "What's that he's holding?" Well, that's A GUN!!! ....at Hastings, Berlin, in Vietnam. I guess it's part of the age of man.
