Story behind the song
I was hanging out in a little park, Chilcotin by name. Everything appeared to be orange, and an orange orb of energy came to me. It beseeched me to go and tell it's story to the world. When I hear religious people praise God, and say that He is holy and He is great and He is all things wonderful, I wonder if they actually believe in it, or if none of them individually believe it, and it's just a facade they put on for each other. This song is about those who follow blindly, those who lead, but most importantly, those who do neither, and implore people to look beyond the deceit.
Lyrics
[VERSE 1] Well I was born a liar, But now I tell the truth. How can you believe me? I know it’s not easy, Cause I’m a lot like you. [CHORUS] Follow me along the path of life, I know it’s not real but I want it to be. Do you believe in destiny the way I do, Follow on [VERSE 2] All the colours will be revealed, All the past will be unveiled, The key to knowledge lies just beyond your reach. Secrets dead for a thousand years, Revealed to those who shed no tears, Those who find it find that they beseech.
