Story behind the song
This is a song we wrote a few years ago, shortly after the release of our second album 'Look at Yourself'. TRayD, our bass player, had been experimenting with the use of chords in his bass lines, and came up with this riff which we all starting jamming to. It later segue'd into the chorus using a riff which is somewhat reminiscent of RATM, a band that has influenced us indirectly via songwriting and lyrics. It's choppy and hesistant... somewhat stoccato... and gives way to the bridge/breakdown where the song slows down and breathes a little bit. A cool song from our perspective, and one which we really enjoy playing because of all the changes. And, A.D.S.' vocals and lyrics in this song really give the song a self-expressive feel.
