MUSIC FROM THA SOUL
Those unfamiliar with the name, Dallas Owen could possibly be the best kept
secret, and sadly, most slept on rap artist in Australia.
Against the norm, the style you can expect to hear is a more conscious, spoken
word style of hip hop.
Being categorized is not a thing he is very fond of...Due to an awkwardness
and a hesitation felt when it comes to introducing himself to anybody as a
''Rapper'' - The term ''Poet'' for him personally, feels more comfortable.
Based on the fact that everybody is a rapper nowadays, and in comparison to
majority, they fall short, where he excels when it comes to heartfelt from the
soul, honest lyrics and poetic substance.
So with that said, dont expect juvenile minded egotistical content, if anything,
prepare perhaps, for what may be thoughts and feelings you hadnt found the
words for.
Simply put, Dallas is an honest artist not afraid to be completely naked and
exposed in his own music.
That may make him an easy target as nothing is hidden, however, that battle
rap idea is of no interest. And for him, that mentality is considered a waste of
time and energy when there is music with meaning to be created despite he
feels there is a lack of demand for it in today's industry.
Dallas is about making music people can relate to.
He really isn't phased with the whole tryna be the baddest in the game, Couldnt care bout status and all that... Just wants some respect & appreciation, And mainly acknowledgement for droppin' true content.
Judge for yourself,D pours soul into every rhyme.Lyrics that are perfect for any Hip Hop lover who is more into the deeper content.

Despite the mood of this album being majority somber, each track still has its own personality.Topics such as, single mother struggle, acceptance, depression, gratefulness of life are all covered. This is an album, despite being classified as spoken word hip hop, it can still talk to fans of any genre, any age and any walk of life.
The honesty may leave me very exposed, but music is where i am truely naked.
Your contributuion will only mean more productions in the future
