Story behind the song
Okay, I admit it; a dippy title for (IMHO) a cool tune. The inspiration actually came from Johannes Schmoelling's song 'Rise of the Smooth Automation' from Zoo of Tranquility. I was fascinated with a mechanical equivalent of evolution from some sort of electronic primordial ooze.
Musically it's fairly dissonant at the start (only a portion of that segment appears here), but moves into a really nice symphonic bit that I more or less improvised on the spot. I got lucky.
