Story behind the song
as mentioned, it was originally intended for my other project, Better Left Undead, and was a shot on people telling us we were taking too long making new tunes and such (we got that popular? weird.) the lines "we never listened to what you had to say / we save compassion 'cause we're not getting paid" evidence this. it didn't quite fit the style, so it would up getting used here, with some modified lyrics to better fit the "nerd metal" style.
Lyrics
we get the message so we're off on our way we drop controllers just to stare and to slave we never listened to what you had to say we save compassion 'cause we're not getting paid (the) kings of mediocrity assemble here tonight do what we do, received by all with a slight unanimous show of interest - "it's alright" another day we live to die in the fight we get the message so we head out the door some more transmissions for you all to ignore our endless ranting of the internet lore somehow enlightens you with nerdy allure obscurity in the sea of the new age nothing to stand out so we shout and we rage the century in which we're living as herds throw up your fists - embrace the metal of nerds
