Hi, I've been writing songs since I was twelve years old, and recording them since 1985. Roger Cook (of the Cook-Greenaway-Cook songwriting partnership and Blue Mink, etc) once wrote that I have the ability to write a hit single and that he was waiting for one from me. He also said I need to 'lighten up a bit', unquote. F*ck that!

Story behind the song
I was at a dear lady friend's house for supper and she told me to bring my guitar with me. I played her the music I'd written for this song, and she said to me, "If your Mum could come back to life for one more hour, what would you say to her?" We sat and wrote loads of stuff together, but when I got home it wasn't working... so I scrapped everything and started again, this time trying to be more general so that other people could identify more with the song on an emotional level. I hope it worked, I hope you like it, and sometimes it's GOOD to cry. My heart goes out to you, I know how you feel, and I love you and give you my sincere condolences. xxx HUGS xxx
