TK's Dance Band was a wedding/party band in the early 70s. Tom Kurtz managed and booked the band for the love of music and us kids. As far as we know, he never took any money.

Story behind the song
4 guys got together in late 1973 to just goof around and play some music. Tom Boris: drums, Steve Cuneo: rhythm guitar, Cliff Benes: lead guitar, Chuck Sylvester: fretless bass. We had no plan, except to start out in E. The result was this 22 minutes of aimlessaly wandering blues rock. By the time we were a few minutes into it, my front porch in Oaklyn, NJ was full of little kids from the neighborhood. Guess we were a little loud. The nerdy guy speaking at the beginning was me talking to Cliff Benes on a tape I sent to him years later while he was in Florida. I had bought a Fender Mustang guitar from him and was refinishing it.
