The Waters Edge is a modern/alternative Christian rock group from Huntington Beach, California. Formed in 1996, this band mixes together melodic tones and driving rhythms to create a new powerful sound. Our call is to bring light to the darkness. We will continue to play our music and share our lives with the people who need it. As Christians we are called to share the gospel with others and we feel that it leads us to all areas of the world. Music is the universal language and through music we can use our strengths and weaknesses to help others change their lives and start again in the right direction.

Story behind the song
"Green Colored Poison was the original title of this song. It represents envy. Now that I think about it, Green was the first song we created as a band. It's kind of funny to think about it now. It has changed so much over the years. The song you hear now is much different than it used to be. It used to be very slow and very soft. After my feelings changed, so did the character of the song. Basically I wanted my best friend's girlfriend. He took her for granted and I was single. But I kept quiet until after they broke up. I never told him I liked her until he heard the song. We laugh about it now. It's pretty much about relationships where someone is just waiting for someone better to come along. A couple of my friends have girlfriends that seemed to be just passing the time until they found something better. I wrote green to capture my envy about a girl and the way some people are greedy with their feelings and emotions." - Brian Curtiss
