Something to sing at bank pickets/occupys/sit-ins/takeovers/nationalizations....
folk political satire
Artist picture
Songs to afflict those who make everyone else uncomfortable.
Dave Lippman travels the world taking the air out of the windbags of the week, de-distorting history, and rewriting the classics with parody and thrust. He also presents the world's only known singing CEO, the Bard of the Bankers, Wild Bill Bailout, who employs anti-folk songs and interventionary anthems to explain (and enforce) that the business of America is none of your business, that those too big to fail are also too big for jail, and that the jobless and foreclosed must bail out their own boats.

Story behind the song
written for the Occupy Wall Street movement, but should have been done long before. The song. And the movement.
Lyrics
Oh the bank has pretty teeth dear And it smiles when it takes your cash When the bank failed, & got bailed out Did our Prez do somethin’ rash When that bank bites on derivatives Scarlet ink be - gins to flow Though they ruin many lives dear Off to prison they never go On the sidewalk, Sunday morning We’re evicted from our homes Someone’s sneaking round the corner Could that someone be a CEO We were sloppy (says Jamie), We were stupid We did trades we hadn’t ought But the line forms on the right dear If you think we’re really caught Yes our trades were poorly vetted Yes we could have been much more neat But we still trade like it’s Vegas Have some faith in our balance sheet The shareholders ask politely Should our funds be spent like this Should we lobby ‘gainst regulation Racing forward to the abyss Now Obama’s sweet on Jamie Says his bonus is fair and sound Golden greetings for golden banksters Who run the nation into the ground Jamie Dimon, Vikram Pandit Brian Moynihan, & Johnny Stumpf Well the line forms on the right dear The one percent are back in town No Glass-Steagall can contain them As they tear through the commonweal They need new digs in the hoosegow That’s what happens when you steal Well, Jamie Dimon, Vikram Pandit Brian Moynihan, & Johnny Stumpf Yes the line forms to the hoosegow Cause the people are back in town!
