MI LATINA AMOR - DrumnJon: Drums & JBBQ: Sax Solos
7 Comment Share
DrumnJon did a GREAT Percussion song with all Drum tracks called "Mathematical Anxiety 1". JBBQ heard this rhythmic Drums tune and felt Latin vibes of Bossa Alto/Bari Sax Melody-Solos in a HOT/COOL new song: "MI LATINA AMOR" (My Latina Love).

Story behind the song
"MI LATINA AMOR" (My Latina Love) is a sensual song. It is a music metaphor for LOVE. Starting out with a bang of percussive beats "falling in love", the song rapidly moves into the romantic interactions of two lovers: The handsome macho Latino male (symbolically played by the Bari Sax "Melody-Solo") and the beautiful seductive Latina female (symbolically played by the Alto Sax "Melody-Solo". The dynamic progression of the song is highlighted by the wide array of the Drum Kit - from Bass to Sticks to Cymbals to Steel Drums and other dramatic Love Story heartbeat effects. In tempos of ever increasing tensions, the foundational Drums and the counterpoint Saxophones meld into One until the final climatic resolution, and the serene ending of the song. But of course - Latino, with Latina, lived happily ever after...***SIGH*** SPECIAL NOTE: The Photo/Artwork used for "Mi Latina Amor" is by John Feisthamel (DrumnJon) - (c) 2013 - ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

This a very exhilarated experience to say the least. Untried blend of sax and drum improvisations that is titillating and breathtaking in scope and delivery. Innovating, creative collaboration between great musicians…Thanks for sharing…You should do more together.

Wow - this is great! Love the live vibe and the guy on drums should be a permanent member - great dynamics! Miles Davis meets Gene Krupa or Buddy Rich meets Maynard Ferguson/great sounding stuff!!!
Thank YOU Great Friend Jon John DrumnJon!!!!! It was a truly outstanding experience to work with you on this very different collab. We have already expressed, in the song's description, how GREAT JBBQ thought your drums were on "Mathematical Anxiety 1". And what a thrill it was - I must add - to attempt the challenge of mixing Alto and Bari Saxophone Solos/Melody into the Percussive Magic of YOUR Drummin'. The results seem to sound intriguing as an experimental blend of euphonic expressions for Universal Love (as explained in the song's "About the song" section.) It will be most interesting to see how this song is received by our SoundClick music colleagues and others. Hopefully, they will enjoy the tune as much as JBBQ did in working with YOU in the song's final production. IT WAS A HIGH HONOR TO COLLAB WITH YOU - MASTER MUSICIAN/DRUMMER JOHN -DRUMNJON. You are, in our collective lifetimes of music experience, among the Very Best Of The Very Best Drummers - EVER
