Story behind the song
It's called Kansta sh** because when was getting in the battle circuit, hosts couldn't pronounce "Allik Alaer" so I started signing up as Double A Kane... And some of the homies and other emcees called me AL Kane.
and on this website at that time my user name was AL Kane... and I made this track for the site and sold to some mixtapes that some other hip hop sites that weren't as good were producing.
I picked this instrumental because I had my backpacker vibe on when I wrote and recorded this track relatively fast in 2006.
In the hook, I'm referencing people from the old h1phop website
The king of chip city was a dude from new jersy that worked in a casino.
Tecnik (rest in peace) was another new jersy dude that left the website and an ongoing joke was that he died.
Zero (cool) was a dude that was always telling hilarious sex stories and and they were east coast dudes that used that vernacular so they always said "baking cakes".
It's a fun record. I really go the f*** off (lyrically) in the third verse.
