Great song, Larry! I love your sense of humor always, and this "tongue-in-cheek" production for the CBC May 2013 Detective Theme Tune Challenge was a HIGHLIGHT OF THE EVENING. Your unique mix of instruments and vocals created a perfect "thriller/detective" feeling as well as the
real/surreal moods of Tokyo. But your pro voice expertise in words expression was the foundation for the song. Bravo Bravo on this song!! And thank you for the download.

Oh yes, some clever lilts of eastern melodies and a voiceover that made me laugh out loud, and then some fabulous sounding electric guitar-like synths. A memorable and thoroughly enjoyable trip to Japan. Sounds like you had fun making it too.

aside from creating a piece that nails the challenge theme in a most unique manner, the recording is so pro and well arranged. many interesting elements and the piano is a joy to hear.

Hiding under the slick, smooth exterior is a brilliant wit. Evoking the East without relying on obvious pastiche, and with great chord changes that convey so many different moods. I can see the wet pavement shining with neon signs above lighting the night sky.

This track has a soundcaspe that emits coolness and calm nerves, that of a exceptional private eye. The Asian detective theme works on all levels. This is a real treat. It is very creative. Your spoken word is simply OUTSTANDING… caught me immediately. WELL DONE. Totally befitting the evening theme.
