Lyrics
The Sand Clippers End There’s a Port north the shore of New England Where the men there connect to the sea Fishing runs through generations and it always will be. For those who live there it seems normal For weeks maybe months on end To navig---ate those open waters Then come home again But one stormy night in November No one predicted here hand She came upon them with no warning And surprised all the men And they knew their fait / it was much too late /so they sang to each mate this lullaby! THE SAND CLIPPERS END! Now The Families knew they were missing For 4 days there has been no word And the cry went out to the village That there’s no return Nobody knew just what happened Or why the Sea claimed all these men But the next generation is ready To do it again And the mothers explained to their children Dad’s won’t be home tonight And trying to comfort there babies With this lullaby And they all held hands Standing on their land Praying for each man this lullaby Yoo owy yo ho THE SAND CLIPERS END! And every one there has excepted, that life is a gift From His Hand And they suffer the loss of a loved one but that is His plan And they fold their hands Standing on their land Praying for each man this lullaby SAND CLIPPERS END!
