Story behind the song
This is a song about drag racing. It's about a real person whom I've never met. The older brother of a very close friend has drag raced for over 50 years. 800 HP,120 mph, 1/8th mile in 6 seconds flat. Recently diagnosed w terminal cancer and wants to race some more before he can't drive any longer. He got rained out all spring, but finally got to race the night of the 'Super Moon'. Took 12 hours of repeated races, but he won! After my friend told me the story, this song came tumbling out. I'm playing the Goodall steel string, turbodiddley, and Blondie [Gibson 335 clone].

wonderful and touching song!! love the story told in lyrics and nice harmonies in the chorus. the vocals are really smooth...and it was cool to hear pinedog sing on this! the music is great too! a perfect collaboration and a thoughtful dedication!!
