millicent's magnificent billowy pillow all satin and silk
sits askance near millicents bowl of cold fresh milk.
the runt of the litter she was so tiny and small
that if you held her you could'nt feel her at all
lazy maizy millicents mother 
only had time for her bigger brothers.
no milk left for the weak little kitten
left to die by her mother all smitten
she was saved by the humans in the house
when they found her she was as small as a mouse.
an eye dropper full of milk and mashed meat for her food
did millicent a lot of good she grew and grew
and lived in the house on a silken pillow with a toy mouse
and bowls of fresh milk that came from a cow
millicent is big and healthy now
her mother and brothers live in the barn
when she visits them she tells of life in the house and her billowy pillows
and toy stuffed mouse
