Story behind the song
Imagine living in a post nuclear holocaust and being born in a under ground shelter. Then coming outside for the first time in your life only to find the world still lay wasted and all hope of a free life is lost.
Lyrics
Verse 1 I came outside for the first time in my life. The scene I saw it was not a pretty sight. To see what man had done seemed like an awful shame. I see the mountains melt into the acid rain. Chorus And / But still there's firestorms. Firestorms. Why weren't we warned that there'rd be firestorms. Verse 2 An old man told me of how life it used to be. How living was more than just a luxury. But me I live my life to see the light of day, and now the scientist say that it's OK (Chorus/ But) Verse 3 I saw a baby crying in it's mothers arms. His mamma said son there's no cause for alarm. You go outside you die it's just as well' Cuz life beneath the earth is a living hell (Chorus / and) End
