Story behind the song
Santiago Galindo was a very good friend of the band. He was a good pal who lived his life at the speed of light. But his real problem was been constantly tainted by one of the worst demons: drugs. Days after he decided to take his life away by his hands, most of the band was willing to dedicate him a song. Finally Mauricio, Sixth Age's guitarrist, decided to turn this idea into reality.
Lyrics
VERSE 1
When you were a child,
you learned rage keeps men alive
Became a howling wolf,
wilderness was your life
CHORUS
When constantly mocking at death’s face,
The reaper always speeds his way
A smoke demon he sent
Disguised as an angel
With white wings of strength
VERSE 2
Addicted to chaos,
exhaling motorbreath every time
Adrenaline was your minion,
dopamine was your wife
CHORUS
When constantly mocking at death’s face,
The reaper always speeds his way
A smoke demon he sent
Disguised as an angel
With white wings of strength
VERSE 3
On a black cold day
the reaper calls your name
VERSE 4
Tainted by the warm wings of death,
you decide to fly away
VERSE 5
In the other side of silence,
in peace you will remain
My dear friend,
in our minds immortal you became.
