hip hop / r & b producer
Music is his air; his life, and his outlet. Track Surgeon produces melodies, Hip Hop, R&B, and Reggae beats, in his home based recording studio in Lake Butler, Florida. Operating to perfect his mixture of melodic lyrics and beats, he has recorded over 200 original songs while residing in Florida. Furthermore, during his two years residency in Wilmington, N.C., since returning he has produced approximately 11 songs from various recording artists played on the radio, e.g., Chetta Netta, Big Torch, Nutty, Rick Kaine, and others. While at times he has had to face minor setbacks throughout the entertainment industry, Track Surgeon has humbly persevered, advancing and crafting his style to operate for people who love music. His sensational tracks are fashioned from feelings and vibes of various artists. As a musician, he uses his expertise to formulate tracks that will musically repair music lovers? yearning souls; invigorating, pleasing, and creating an unknown need. He, like a surgeon, performs powerfully, influencing the lives of others. It is said, ?when people hear good music, it makes them homesick for something they never had and never will have.? Inspired by generations of family musicians in his family, Track Surgeon's music embarkment began 1982, as a nine year old living in Wilmington, N.C. His grandmother, who aided his father in his upbringing, introduced him to music. Developing an ardent interest in learning to play music he began teaching himself to play the keyboard. Receiving encouragement from his uncle, Rock Steady, who played drums in a band who turned down a record deal ,that recorded "Mind Your Business", Track Surgeon was often obligated and obliged to play and practice for hours each day, which resulted in him composing melodic beats. The continuous days and nights of practicing with his uncle and congregating with other musicians, who sang and created music, immensely influenced him. 1988, at the age of 14, Track Surgeon received devastating news; his father had been murdered. In an effort to deal with the death of his father, he began writing songs and producing original music; music became his outlet; a manner of dealing with the lost of his father who was also his best friend. 1985, observing Track Surgeon's apparently keen interest in learning to play the keyboard and piano, and viewing Track Surgeon as their future musician, his Church financed his piano lessons until its dissolution . Thereafter, Track Surgeon's grandmother financed his lessons. Subsequently, he formed a JROTC drum and bugle team. Through his drum and bugle team, he was able to improve his original music creative making skills through practicing every morning at school and performing every Wednesday. Also, he and a group of high school friends formed a rap group called The Mic Stalkers; through the group they were able to experiment musically with beats and sounds. In 1993, he joined the Navy. As a crewmember of The USS John F. Kennedy, he continued producing music beats, making tracks, and performing abroad. In 2001, Track Surgeon began working for Life Tyme Entertainment. He produced several tracks for a Gospel, Hip-Hop, and R&B group titled The NC Ryders. The group received several songs broadcasted on the radio. Between 2001 and 2004, as his music studio equipment resources increased, he produced tracks for approximately 15 groups and amazingly recorded over 200 songs. Returning to his hometown, Wilmington, N.C. in 2004, despite a minor setback with the lost and destruction of a shipment of music equipment, Track Surgeon was able to continue forging with the assistance and support of his grandmother. Back in business, he fervently began producing music and beats for various groups in the Wilmington area. During his residency, he successfully produced over 12 songs that were locally played on the radio. In late 2008, Track Surgeon began collaborating with guitarist/bassist Raymond Earl (member of the Philly Soul band Instant Funk), adding original guitar tracks to his beats.
