Story behind the song
I wrote this high on Easter. :)
Lyrics
When we walk down this road with you, Jesus You lead us home to your feast Setting out a heavenly banquet, our saviour Kingly food for the lowest and least The cup that's filled with your power and glory Paid for on the wood of the cross Fill us with the presence of Heaven, oh Jesus We have you here in our midst Quench us with the life abundant, oh Jesus We have you here in our midst When you walk down this road with us, Jesus The sinless One bearing our load Poured out and emptied upon us, O saviour So that we might reach your abode Your flesh the manna that rains down from Heaven Paid for on the wood of the cross Fill us with the presence of Heaven, oh Jesus We have you here in our midst Quench us with the life abundant, oh Jesus We have you here in our midst We bless your name, O Risen Son, Our Strong Tower, Jesus
