Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
This is a slightly lesser known tune by The Shadows... however it's a bit of a gem. A great tune to play. I didn't want to just record a slavish copy of the original, but rather to add something else of my own to it; thus, there's less 'twang-bar' use, organ underpins the chorus, and a different solo on third 'chorus'... plus a 'new' end section featuring e-bow and dreamy ambient sounds. I used my Parker Fly guitar for rhythm, lead and e-bow. Bass was my trusty Rickenbacker 4003, drums and keys all from my ancient Yamaha PSR-275 keyboard. All recorded through a Line 6 Pod (2.0) and into Adobe Audition (1.5)... still my DAW of choice !
Lyrics
Instrumental. chords are . . . intro: C/Am/F/G7 verses: C/Am/F/G7 / C/Am/F/G7 / C/Am/F/G7 chorus: F/ Em/F/Fm/C/G7 / F/Em/D7/G7 coda: C (ad-lib)

I don't think I ever heard the original so this is a really good surprise. Great composition I agree - don't know why this got overlooked - that chord sequence is a killer! Fantastic sound and production on this, David, it sound so lush and rich, but everything crystal clear in the mix. Wonderful guitar tones and superb playing. Great tune!

Always a pleasure to listen to your beautiful guitar playing and guitar tone David - no exception here. Very well done Sir David! (Oh ya, I just Knighted you - bam!). Beautiful track!

Still keeping that essential 'dancing in the sand' coolness in the vibe you've given this classic a new life, nice guitar work David :)

Superb interpretation and first class playing. I like the way you've captured the essence of the Shadows yet added your own influence.
