Intro got me on this one. Yeah, that stand up bass is the meat and potatoes on this one. Everything is where it should be, but the bass (tha bass!) is where it's at. Keep bringing it man! I love your vision!

What can I add that has not been said... This is just a great example of excellence in my book! Arrangement, performance, recording and mastering are all first class.

Beautiful composition, very groovy. The bass is excellent and tolerates the whole speech. Evolution is slow and continuous, the shape is a loop, and everything is very hypnotic.

Great work on this, Al. Some really nice tunes and a wonderful sax. The rhythm is a bit hectic but still the feeling is somewhere between rock and chill out. So the title fits perfectly: It is groovy and yet chilled. The double bass sounds wonderful all the way and so do all the other instruments. You are a great musician, Al. To have all this going on and yet keeping it simple and groovy, that is a masterpiece in itself!
No one better than Al !

I've been away, but what a delight to find this gem upon my return - that bass sounds superb and I like the pairing with synth pads and your sax sounds great here too!

A nice slow and anticipating build up until at 2:58 the saxaphone comes in. Excellent. All through this is a cool bass rift that sticks with my mind even now that the song is faded out. Very cool sound. Make an excellent background music to a detective movie.

excellent rhythmic feel, a little dark around the edges, mystical. the soloing is spectacular. great production as always. you have a knack for just enough, not too much. every component of the piece has a chance to shine. and shine they do. well done, buddy

Massively spacious and lush mix of infectious grooves and creamy melodies :) gotta' love that Sax... Drift away climbing higher and higher.. Great job on this Al :D
So cool and so warm at the same time, perfect for this time of year. I dig the shifting changes that evolve seamlessly and intelligently as it progresses. Beautifully produced and mixed, and of course your sax playing always blows me away.

Oh, I like the way it's starting. The bass in the centre and subtle sounds around it. Pads, a chilly beat. Do I hear animals as well? A few waves of the sea around 0:40. I like the slow building up here, mysterious and full of tension, like suddenly something could explode. At 1:12 a lead synth comes in carrying the melody, turning the track into another direction. All accompanied by more and more synths. It's getting very danceable and here tensions have gone totally. I don't expect explosions anymore. 2:51: Ah, your sax is back. From here on it is really you. After a short solo the chilling is continuing. At 3:58 there is starting a longer sax-solo, followed by a moog-like lead. Here you feel it is going to the end. And yes, fading away. Wow, this was a nice trip. With surprises and a very good building up. I think my absolute favorite part is the first until 1:12. There I've got the feeling you bring a part of you that's different. Of course the whole track is top
