My name is Lara Anderson, I was born right in the heart of the all so fabulous, Hollywood California. (Wilcox and Selma to be exact). I have been creating, singing and dancing from a really young age. Music IS and has always been part of me, and as I grew with it, came the dancing and other "wild" ideas I create to go along with it.
I will always remember the time, I was about 8 years old, and I was singing and performing one of my favorite songs (to myself) in the sink/bathroom area. This is where all the girls in the 2 connecting dorms would go to freshen up and brush our teeth before getting ready for bed. Somewhere in my drifting mind, I had made all the tooth brushes and hygiene products all on the sink, my audience, and I was performing to the world. I imagined I was on a mountain with a big stage at the top, and everybody (the tooth paste and tooth brushes) in the audience were so happy I was finally performing for them. I was near the end of the song, (not to mention) really passionate and totally into my life time performance to the world, only to be distracted by 8 faces in the door way watching me when I looked in the big mirror in front of me. I turned real quick! Slightly embarrassed and caught red handed with my wood paddle brush clenched in my hand, I paused and looked at them. I was just waiting to hear the laughter and silly things they were about to spray out of their mouths, but instead, they yelled "Keep going!" with so much joy! ... I was embarrassed about my perfectly set up show in front of me on the sink, and the fact that we only had 5 minutes till bed time, that I didn't finish the song, but, I went to bed that night knowing exactly what I was intended to do for the rest of my life. Now, here I am years later.
As most artist and business people know, money/finances is a very key thing in this world right now, to have to help achieve the end result in a creative idea or project. Not every project or artistic idea, but most. This album, is that for me.
I have amazing producers and artists that I have worked with and that I am currently working with, that need to be compensated for their wonderful support in creating the detailed structure for this new album. As well I need money for the technical side of getting the album completely done. This includes each of the 10 songs on this album getting produced, mixed and mastered, paying editors and cinematographers for at least 3 musicvideos... and so on. This takes time, energy and equipment to be done the right way. I need to get the album created, designed and physically made so I can get it to you and the rest of the world ! :-)
