Lyrics
while waiting for the vulture's to vulch on the moores of the wicked isle! the fairies flitted in the moon glow cast upon the fields that night. the shadows long and sinister moving slowly as the wind pushed by! the colors faded along with the sunlight till there was only shades of gray. undefined shapes visible in the foggy dim light. moving along the boggy road towards the inn. a well lit safe house with a tall keep. where rum and the delights of the flesh abounded! at a price! the price was sin. to stay in the grasp of the wintery arms of this cruel storm? or to chance being recognized at the inn? nay for it is god who will be my witness it is god that would judge me. but is it evil to seek shelter from this cruel storm? even in the warmth inside this red light district? to seek just the warmth and comfort of the fire and the merryment of the rum? and forsake the gambling and the whores? nay again for it would be a sin to not act upon witnessing these things! averting your gaze to avoid sin is this not enough? to act would mean to have passed judgement and this is held in gods name only! i have not the wisdom or the jurisdiction to act upon any action of another! and what of the law's of man? are these not superseded by the law's of god? am i to choose the one's i prefer to live by and disregard the others? when is the time to turn the other cheek? and when is the time to strike the cheek that is presented to you. but presently! i look up and as i cast my gaze i find the inn has passed. and faded into the gray gloom of the distant past and during my pondering i have once again entered the dimly lit night on the road through life only to notice another dim light in the far off future and thus i began to ponder in wonderment over what it might be and how long the journey would take until i arrived there.
