Story behind the song
I wanted to write a song about having the urge to move on to new things. About that unsettled feeling we all have that life could be more than what it is. I try to set this feeling by making use of unsettled harmonies and chords - A sense of moving forward, but never arriving. (Sunset image: Public Domain License CC0)

Got To Go Away I clock no time, I've got no pay. I'm all alone. I've got my mind, no one to blame. I want to go away. I've got no world, I've got no fame. No one at home. I've got no girl to keep me tame. I've got to go away. It's always something, that's really nothing, to make you stay. And here's the one thing; Soon I'll be running, running away! I've got no car, won't take a plane. Can't ride a boat. Don't know how far, but just the same, I 've got to go away. Don't own a coat, so I won't stay. It looks like snow. I'll brave the cold some other day, I've got to go away. It's always something, that's really nothing, to make you stay. And here's the one thing; Soon I'll be running, running away!
