Written after five calls one afternoon!
Celtic influenced Folk
Currently play as half a duo Steph and Al - me guitar and vocals, Steph violin.
Story behind the song
The only calls I ever seem to get on my land line these days are these sort of calls - and Angharad in Swansea DOES exist!
Lyrics
Cold Calls
What a friend I ‘av in Delhi, ‘e phones me once or twice a week
‘e asks me if I ‘av a tele, or if my boiler ‘as a leak.
Do I need some double glazing, do I need some pills for men
He seems to know a lot about me, he tells me that his name is Ken.
I don’t want your solar panel, I don’t have a PPI
And I never watch the tele so I won’t sign up for Sky
I know your name it is not Derek, or Rosemary or Ken
You don’t have those names in Delhi and furthermore since when
Did you care about my leaking pipes, draughty windows or banking gripes
I don’t want what you are offering, do not bother me again
My boiler sure it is not broken I don’t need another phone
Please don’t bother me again, please just leave me alone
Here comes another plea from Angharad up in Swansea
She’s offering a deal to me, that only I can choose
Her benefits are plain to see, she's lots of clients just like me
And she’ll take it all quite personally if I were to refuse….
BUT
I don’t want her solar panel, I don’t have a PPI
And I never watch the tele so I won’t sign up for Sky!
