Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
An ode to the banning and removal of Absynthe in the years leading up to WW1. It was the preferred drink of 'La Belle Epoch', and it's 'rituals' fuelled all their hopes and dreams. It's available again (quite legally too).
Lyrics
Farewell my darling, for you are being taken away from me...such sadness...we enjoyed such happy times together in our favourite cafe, where laughter filled the air. Our thoughts intertwined, our dreams escaping on flights of fancy, to a world of bliss. I long that we will be re-united. Goodbye my darling green fairy.

There's an eerie strangeness about this track, a vibe that grabs your attention right away. Brilliant use of spoken words and atmospheric music.

Very dramatic portrayal of a drug addled dream fading to harsh reality.. a bit chilling.. excellent work David!
