Rock, pop, country and contemporary Christian is my current aim, though my style can range from soft ballads to heavy metal.
Brief history: I've been writing songs since 1978, spanning various genres. Most tend to fall into the pop/adult contemporary category. For the past several years, I've turned my focus more to Contemporary Christian music; it's what I enjoy listening to, and it gives my music some real meaning and purpose ... at least to me ... and hopefully to those who listen to it. Looking back now, I see religious connotations in some of my older material, as well.

Lyrics
Secrets … we were sharing in the dark Staring out the window into each other’s hearts But our love was just a lost and hopeless cause You gave nothing even though I gave my all CHORUS: All night, you cried With the weight of the world on your shoulders I tried to hide That I just wanted to hold you Careless … there was more than love at stake But you just used me to get through another day (CHORUS) BRIDGE: Friends can’t be lovers When only one loves the other And no other lover will do I soon discovered I couldn’t keep it under cover I couldn’t stop wanting you But words got in the way Of all that I had to say And when I reached out to you You turned away (LEAD) END CHORUS: All night, I cried With the weight of the world on my shoulders Inside, love died As your heart became colder … … I cried There was so much more I should have told you Inside, I died I just wanted to hold you Friends can’t be lovers When only one loves the other And no other lover will do
