Story behind the song
Updated with my first recording on iRig Pro Duo into iPad Air with Garage Band. Drum n Bass: Trio into Duo Left Channel; "taught" three chord progressions. Rhythm Guitar: Line 6 Amplify75 into Duo Right Channel; grunge tone. Keys: Garage Band Smart Keys; Organ slight distortion. Lead Guitar: Line 6 Amplify75 into Duo; Found "Gilmore" tone. ====================================== Original: This is a rare configuration as I dablle into the mobile domain. [I know nobody cares about this info, but I use it to help me remember what I did] Drum n Bass: DigiTech Trio; GET THIS PEDAL. I play and "teach" Trio tempo and chords for 3 parts of this song (Melody, Chorus, Bridge), it plays Drum n Bass. Direct to Line 6 Amplifi75 on aux. Rythm Guitar: Strat through Line 6 Amplifi75 (while TRIO is going in aux) with my standard grungy setting. Played Rythm live with Trio into iPad using Music Memos app (also, GET THIS APP). Transferred Music Memo to Garage Band. Added (subtle) Rock Organ (slight distortion) via Smart Keys in Garage Band. Lead Guitar: Looked up a Gilmore tone on Line6 Amplify app for this song. Found one with good delay. Open mic record into Tascam Portalble, WHILE Trio, Rythm Guitar, and Keys are playing out of iPad via Garage Band with Bluetooth to Amplifi75. At this point, I went out of mobile domain, and transferred WAV to my PC DAW (You would not believe how difficult Apple makes this step. FU). DAW Mastering: Standard Combo: n-track Compressor > BBE Sonic Maximizer > Stereo Expander
