Story behind the song
And then I mixed and mastered it. Original Post: Here's another example of simple recording on your iphone or ipad using Music Memos. This was all done on my ipad with just its mic and my acoustic guitar. One click to start Music Memos recording the first Acoustic rhythm track. I turned on its bass and drum accompaniment. I did go in and tweak it to keep it on the simple side. Exported to Garage Band. Added the Acoustic "lead" track (I tried to follow the vocal line on the guitar since I didn't want to try to sing it). Added "smart keys" electric piano for that 70s touch. Boom. knocked it out in about an hour. Doesn't get any simpler than that, and I am pretty impressed with the audio quality and the drum n bass it added isn't that bad. It's a very strange chord progression for me so it's not perfect. But, not bad for just screwing around on my acoustic on a Wednesday night.
