Decaying Orbit is an experimental, unorthodox, highly diverse & genre-splitting band from Texas led by their infamous front man Mike Ash. "No, this music's not about that, it's not about sound quality, it's about passion." - Mike Ash. Decaying Orbit is produced by their label, Decaying Enterprises Productions and has released many studio albums since they formed in 2008, after the violent break up of the Psychedelic Rock band, Strangefire, of which Mike was the former front man. Decaying Orbit believes in unadulterated musical & creative freedom, Mike describes their music as a "cathartic purge" or "nervous break downs caught on tape.". The band believes that creating music is a sacred, spiritual and magical art form brought to them by the Muses, wraiths and demons hidden just beyond the veil between the worlds of the physical and spiritual realms. Decaying Orbit has traveled beyond the veil and into the realms of the spirits, only to reemerge, like a caterpillar from it's cocoon emerging as a beautiful butterfly, so does Decaying Orbit get reborn through the fire of their cacophonous tunage. The band believes in complete freedom of lifestyle, I.E. sexuality, religion, spirituality, drugs, manner of dress etc. They believe that music is an interstellar language that needs no translation to be understood by absolutely anyone. It's the passion behind the emotions found in the music that matters to Decaying Orbit, they believe that integrity is more important than fortune or fame. This is our Decaying Orbit & we do hope that you will N'Joy tha' show!!!!

Story behind the song
This song actually has more plays than ANY other Decaying Orbit track. It has like 11,000 plays or something ridiculous, especially considering that it only made it to #5 on the World-Wide Rock Charts. It was chosen by Willow to be the first single from "The Destruction Of Something Beautiful". My listeners have been eerily silent as to what they think of this tune, leaving absolutely no commentary what-so-ever. It really makes me wonder what everyone thought of this jam, it is a uniquely bizarre little tune, that's for sure!!! The original version of this track was recorded in 2003 during the sessions for the Mike Ash album, "Waxed". It is the second version out of four different versions of Yellow Wastelands. BTW the title is in reference to yellow bathtub meth, you get so skitzed out on that shit that you will find yourself wandering around the yellow wastelands of your tweek. Aloka actually remixed a different version of this song than I had intended for her to, but the end result is 11,000 plays, so it's really just whatever lol!!!! This is another one of Aloka's brilliantly bizarre creations & I truly Love it!!!! Anyhoo, We do hope that you N'Joy Yellow Wastelands!!!!
Lyrics
hey hello, hello... layered highs, phantom pain, all so unreal, back to the same, black out jokes for paranoia, palliate the orphans, loiter, some kind of fish bathe together, sea food for the dogs, cry me down the river, been a while but not too long, old man waffle, walkie talkie, old man waffle, walkie talkie, old man waffle, walkie talkie, I got butter on my bread, which ever only one that doesn't realize, bail me out of frosty windows, we don't want what they don't know... Lyrics By: Mike Ash (C)Decaying Enterprises 2017
