A song about God's unconditional (agape) love working within human relationships.
progressive pop jazz blues country christian contemporary melody celtic orchestral bible sax musette
Many genres, Contemporary Christian, Lyrics, instrumentals
I write my own songs ;) I have a very diverse taste in music, from Pop to Classical, including Rock, Folk, Jazz, Country, World Music (Celtic, Romanian), Old Timey Stringband/Bluegrass, and Latin. All these styles are in my Christian Contemporary catagory. I usually write the music first, and then put words to the music. Though I don't sing good enough yet, I though I would put my instrumentals out along with my music. Generally, I think my music/lyrics are getting better, being more skilled now than when I started.

Story behind the song
This is inspired by a book by (the late) Nancy Missler, The Way of Agape. She shows illustrations in her own life where imperfect human love comes short. But by first confessing one's own shortcomings, and thus, being cleansed by God, one can be a used as a vessel for sharing God's love with others. This of course take courage and strength, depending on God for it. Some of the high points in the book demonstrate agape love with enemies, strangers, and within marriages.
Lyrics
I Will Show I will show to them Your love I will show, I'm not to judge Though they grieve me, disbelieve me, I will obey I will show the love of Christ Not from me, but from on high I'm a platter; You're the master I will serve You B part: I will yield my aching heart I confess, I'm feeling hard I give myself completely over to You By Your Spirit, I'm renewed By Your Spirit, I'm renewed I will show the love of God I will show the stranger love You are for one; can't ignore one The one You love I will show my love Your love I will show when things are tough Work inside us, change and guide us We're not alone copyright David Davis 2017
