Everything changes, but one thing remains the same.
progressive pop jazz blues country christian contemporary melody celtic orchestral bible sax musette
Many genres, Contemporary Christian, Lyrics, instrumentals
I write my own songs ;) I have a very diverse taste in music, from Pop to Classical, including Rock, Folk, Jazz, Country, World Music (Celtic, Romanian), Old Timey Stringband/Bluegrass, and Latin. All these styles are in my Christian Contemporary catagory. I usually write the music first, and then put words to the music. Though I don't sing good enough yet, I though I would put my instrumentals out along with my music. Generally, I think my music/lyrics are getting better, being more skilled now than when I started.

Story behind the song
There is a syncopation between the first and second lines. The third note on the second line is accented as it should be, but the timing seems off. The fourth verse resonates from this last Easter. Musically, the key changes in three keys [GCGCGCGCFGCGCF] 13 times. I have several other verses about change - about sports, socio-political, creation and fashion.
Lyrics
Change Look all around You will FIND Out Everything changes God is immutable Yet turns things beautifully New God loves new things He gives ME change Because He loves me Love is accepting Yet it is investing in change Patient and kind, God is THE Vine We are the branches I'm dead in Christ, and He Lives deep inside me by faith Coming today, There's a NEW way Death has no power I have new freedom, and I have a reason to live B part: Conform, reform, transform - Let God have His way. Commit, submit, persist - What God has begun is lasting change. It's sad to see All my MIS-deeds Take me, transform me! Give me the power, Lord Show me just how To believe I want to change, turn a NEW page, Make myself over, Take on seclusion? or Make resolution today? B part - ending: Conform, reform, transform - Let God have His way. Commit, submit - What God has begun persist, assist - What God has begun is lasting change. David Davis copyright 2017
