Decaying Orbit is an unorthodox, highly diverse & genre-splitting band from Texas led by their infamous front man Mike Ash.

Decaying Orbit is an experimental, unorthodox, highly diverse & genre-splitting band from Texas led by their infamous front man Mike Ash. "No, this music's not about that, it's not about sound quality, it's about passion." - Mike Ash. Decaying Orbit is produced by their label, Decaying Enterprises Productions and has released many studio albums since they formed in 2008, after the violent break up of the Psychedelic Rock band, Strangefire, of which Mike was the former front man. Decaying Orbit believes in unadulterated musical & creative freedom, Mike describes their music as a "cathartic purge" or "nervous break downs caught on tape.". The band believes that creating music is a sacred, spiritual and magical art form brought to them by the Muses, wraiths and demons hidden just beyond the veil between the worlds of the physical and spiritual realms. Decaying Orbit has traveled beyond the veil and into the realms of the spirits, only to reemerge, like a caterpillar from it's cocoon emerging as a beautiful butterfly, so does Decaying Orbit get reborn through the fire of their cacophonous tunage. The band believes in complete freedom of lifestyle, I.E. sexuality, religion, spirituality, drugs, manner of dress etc. They believe that music is an interstellar language that needs no translation to be understood by absolutely anyone. It's the passion behind the emotions found in the music that matters to Decaying Orbit, they believe that integrity is more important than fortune or fame. Story behind the song

Another eccentric spoken word jam from the Mad Scientist of Music!!! I wrote & recorded this while living in a garage apartment behind my Mom's house with my two kitty-cats, Maxine Eucalyptus & Weeza Casper. if anything inspired this one, it is definitely those two aforementioned babies. this was originally recorded in 2001 during the sessions for the Mike Ash album, "Gutz n' Gagz", released later on that year. One more tune that has never been released, online or otherwise, by Decaying Enterprises until now on "The AntiSocialite"

I remember staring at ceiling fans and balloons we played with, 
and each other, infatuation and endless joy rides, laughter tears & Love
and I cannot seem to digest the things I cannot swallow,
the world gets so quick when you get caught in-between,
but everything is heavy, you better push,
you better push as hard as you can...
and I can't help but feel disappointed with a half-cracked smile when nothing is funny, but everything changes, 
some for the good and others bad,
and I can't help but notice the things that I'm feeling,
and growths like tumors that cannot be cured,
my feelings are a cancer binding my soul,
sometimes I'm broken, sometimes I'm fixed,
sometimes I can't even tell which is which...
and the rules they make me nauseous, 
the world I don't trust.
I channel the anger, I glitter the hate,
with a sarcastic loathing that seems so innate....
but if I could have saved you, if only, oh well
I'll just circle to the bottom of the backwards ass ocean
on a plain to complain of companions which we speak,
we sacrifice the words we cannot speak,
to satiate to plaster....
