Man, I really dig this tune, really nice drive especially with the solid BD and bass. Guitar adds that edge soloing not dominant but there to fill the gaps in the right amount. I especially like that sweeping from bottom to top synth sound, very cool.

Just got back from vacation and just in time to do a little slip and sliding...The whole track sounds great! Such a sweet guitar sound and that bass is killer! Really nice percussion too. I like the way the organ slips in too! This is really nice!

Love the tune and your explanation of it as well.
Keep up the good work.

Hi, Laurel...
Yes, I really love (and have been inspired by) R&B music from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s!
Especially, the guitarists from those eras whose sound(s) were very “rhythmic” and prominent on records (with guitarists from James Brown’s bands, Wah Wah Watson, Ray Parker Jr., and Nile Rogers being just a few examples). – A “fuzz” guitar sound (combined with a phase shifter) was also used on this track for a throwback sound (reminiscent of Dennis Coffee’s sound).
I also like very strong, driving, drumbeats… and this piece borrows a lot from the hard-hitting drum sounds of the 80’s (minus the “gated” effects).
The above elements were then flavored with clavinet, organ, and synth sounds… with the intent to combine everything in a locked, steady, and pulsating dance groove to inspire one to “get up & move your feet.”
Thanks, for listening... much appreciated!

Really great track!! I love the funkiness and the vibe. The production and mix are fantastic.
Feelings just like we had in the 70´s.... great production for sure. Loved the drum and bass driven arrangement, nice lead part, the Funky fever is over all as well.... really nice to listen to, indeed!! :D
