If it's hot then give God the glory. If it's not then blame Mitch.
I'm Joe Johnson a local United Methodist Pastor. Before I felt God calling me into the ministry I thought I was going to be a rap artist. For 8 years I did nothing with music until my wife introduced me to a group called "The Gospel Gansters" in 1998. It was an eye opening experience. I was amazed to see people using rap for the glory of God. That day I picked up paper and pen and I haven't put it down yet.

Lyrics
Ive never been so high, Ive never been so high Standing head and shoulder All above the others Arms flung wide. Ive never been so high Ive never been so high Light as a feather I can see for ever Ive never been so. Hes a little kid, maybe a little mischievous His mom would disagree she would just call him curious In Jerusalem celebrated Passover, the exodus His Mother held his hand told him stay next to us But he slipped away, father was furious and his mother delious As days go by the situation gets more more serious. They find him up in the pulpit of the temple teaching extemporaneous Priest looking, up at him in awe as if hes already famous He wades into the Jordan River, water freezing He tells his cousin baptized me in obedience His cousin balks and says Im unworthy, on bended knee How can I baptize the one in whom I believe Cousin finally obeyed and laid him down in the water with ease He says I must decrease that you might increase Cousin brings him up out of the waters at the moment God released A dove and said this is my son in whom Im pleased Hes been beaten and whipped, blood flowing free Theres an rugged cross on his back Hes forced to carry Nailed to the cross they lift him up for all to see The sky turns dark and black and angry His mothers screaming this isnt the way it was suppose to be A thief by his side Pleading, Please remember me He cries father they dont know what they are doing forgive for me With a final gasp its finished and he whispers softly.
