Decaying Orbit is an experimental, unorthodox, highly diverse & genre-splitting band from Texas led by their infamous front man Mike Ash. "No, this music's not about that, it's not about sound quality, it's about passion." - Mike Ash. Decaying Orbit is produced by their label, Decaying Enterprises Productions and has released many studio albums since they formed in 2008, after the violent break up of the Psychedelic Rock band, Strangefire, of which Mike was the former front man. Decaying Orbit believes in unadulterated musical & creative freedom, Mike describes their music as a "cathartic purge" or "nervous break downs caught on tape.". The band believes that creating music is a sacred, spiritual and magical art form brought to them by the Muses, wraiths and demons hidden just beyond the veil between the worlds of the physical and spiritual realms. Decaying Orbit has traveled beyond the veil and into the realms of the spirits, only to reemerge, like a caterpillar from it's cocoon emerging as a beautiful butterfly, so does Decaying Orbit get reborn through the fire of their cacophonous tunage. The band believes in complete freedom of lifestyle, I.E. sexuality, religion, spirituality, drugs, manner of dress etc. They believe that music is an interstellar language that needs no translation to be understood by absolutely anyone. It's the passion behind the emotions found in the music that matters to Decaying Orbit, they believe that integrity is more important than fortune or fame. This is our Decaying Orbit & we do hope that you will N'Joy tha' show!!!!

Story behind the song
My Lover, Skylar loved the "Frog & Toad" books & collected them, I wrote this song about what was going on in our relationship, while using the idea of "Frog & Toad" to lead the way. I recorded this in 1998, right after our break up. However, it was written earlier that year sitting on Skylar's bedroom floor with a bunch of people partying around me. it was really rather surreal, I was almost suffocating from cigarette & tea smoke, lol but that is how this song came to life. it is one of my VERY, VERY Favorites of ANY of the songs I have written over the last 25 years.
Lyrics
Frog & Toad are friends sometimes, toad never yells, yeah and frog never cries, what's the difference between 2 & 4? green & red, it's brown I'm sure, three color blind mice scamper across the floor.... but I'm not sure if I'm aware, not really sure if I even care, & where to hide the jelly beans? yellow, orange, red & green, all of the colors that I'll never be yeah... Frog and Toad are the best of friends, Toad always jokes, yeah and Frog always grins, what's the difference between less and more? some and none? just a bit, I'm sure... don't count yer chicks before they die, Easter eggs and apple pie yeah.... Hansel died and now Gretel's alone, & Jack's still waitin' for that bean stalk to grow, and who am I, yeah, who are you? maybe Frog & Toad..... Jack left Jill for some girl named Sue, & now Jill's become a prostitute, another miscarriage for Mother Goose, & Peter Rabbit's got the blues, Frog & Toad, well, they're still friends, but now little Bo Peep's strung out on heroin, the little engine that could, well, he finally lost hope, the Dish & the Spoon, well, I hear they eloped, the Hare that called the Tortoise slow died of heart failure not too long ago, & whatever happened to the fairy tales? the endless laughter that never went stale? whatever happened to the nursery rhymes? I don't know, guess only time will tell.... Lyrics By: Mike Ash (C)Decaying Enterprises 2017
