We're putting the soul, back in Rock and Roll!
Purveyors of rock music today have several decades of artists and styles from which to draw influence. The Elf Puppets, a Dallas-based quartet, weave elements of rock music’s diverse repertoire into their original compositions.
From the psychedelia of the 60’s to the funk and hard rock of the 70’s and the metal / grunge of the 80’s and 90’s, some of the best aspects of these musical era’s have fused their way into the songs of the Elf Puppets.
Story behind the song
Thinking about the indians that were here before we were.

In a valley far below,
There’s a place you ought to go,
where the spirits are free and the gods will shine upon us.
Where the wind and the buffalo,
From the summer to the winter snow,
Roam the sacred land from drought to pouring rain.
Only taking what they need,
Never let it lay there and bleed,
The Indian, American and free
Ancient springs, And an ancient water fall,
An ancient tribe, who lived their lives in peace.
Love and Harmony, In a land beyond the sea,
I can see their smoke, Blowing in the wind.
INDIAN -, ah INDIAN
Time has come and torn you from the pages
INDIAN -, ah INDIAN
All your GODS will live on through the ages
They’re so proud, of their heritage,
and their honor, But the white man took it away.
Battle cry, War paint on their face,
As the eagle flies, Even still today
2nd Guitar Melody (2 x P1)
Ancient springs, And an ancient water fall,
An ancient tribe, who lived their lives in peace.
Love and Harmony, In a land beyond the sea,
I can see their smoke, Blowing in the wind.
INDIAN -, ah INDIAN
Time has come and torn you from the pages
INDIAN -, ah INDIAN
All your GODS will live on through the ages
