Story behind the song
I was just thinking back on how I used to party sometimes when I was young, and how lucky I am not to have gotten in real trouble or worse. I thank the Lord for getting me through that phase. He sent miss Karen to me and i did'nt need the wild life anymore.
Lyrics
Chorus: Well, I spent all my money on whiskey and women Whiskey and women all my life Lord, I spent all my money on whiskey and women Can't take it with you when you die Verse1: My mama raised me in a God fearing home But I went crazy and started to roam And raise hell, The Devil sure had my number Lucky I ain't dead or in jail (2X) Chorus: repeat Verse2: Well, I love Jesus and I hope he don't mind If I party with some good old friends of mine And raise hell, The devil's still got my number Lucky I ain't dead or in jail (2X) Bridge: Rack it up and break it Set it up and drink it All the ladies shake it We're here to party Chorus: repeat
