I'm not sure what 'genre' this should be in...Pop/Soul/Rhythm & Blues. Well, whatever! this is another great song by Arthur Alexander from later in his career I think.

Story behind the song
I'm sure that this great song could be played in many different ways...sped up, done in a Merseybeat style, in a Country style or treated to a lush orchestrated production. Great songs always lend themselves to interpretation. It would sound instantly better if I wasn't the vocalist, that's for sure :)

This is quite good. I've never heard this one before. Impressive. Oh that's clever bit of unchained melody in the solo. Ha!

I agree with what Rodz is saying. Never hear this one either. You really have done a nice job on this. I checked you tube as well you have done it more than justice. Your vocal harmonies are spot on. Could have made it me and you sounds a whole like John Lennon. And the melody also sounds like one of his from milk and Honey. Excellent!

This one's a bit of a discovery for me because I've never come across the original - it's the first time I've ever heard this song, which is surprising because it's a great song and I've just read that it was covered by Robert Plant. Sounds like a 60's Motown song, so again, very surprised to see it was first released in the 90's. I've been to Youtube to check out the original. You've done a great job on your version!
