Maybe somebody will drain the sea and start a pre-evolutionary democracy
The notion that we're strong, you see, is base illusionary hypocrisy
And we strain and flail against that good night with a bottle of fear and a spoonful of might
end up face-down in a ditch with the angels of war fussing over our plight
Random-seeming volatile tectonic shift
Vortices pull us inexorably to the rift
