The Weight of His Glory
Comment Share
In 2nd Corinthians 4:17-18, we are told that the struggles of this world, for the believer, are far exceeded by the glory of God. On God's scale, the weight of His glory that we now and will experience is so much more.

Many genres, Contemporary Christian, Lyrics, instrumentals
I write my own songs ;) I have a very diverse taste in music, from Pop to Classical, including Rock, Folk, Jazz, Country, World Music (Celtic, Romanian), Old Timey Stringband/Bluegrass, and Latin. All these styles are in my Christian Contemporary catagory. I usually write the music first, and then put words to the music. Though I don't sing good enough yet, I though I would put my instrumentals out along with my music. Generally, I think my music/lyrics are getting better, being more skilled now than when I started.

Lyrics
The Weight of His Glory v1 Troubles and struggles and Pain and heavy shame Cast out and put down and Grief for those who hate Patience and waiting with God when times are tough When we are weak we are Strong - more than enough Nothing but nothing surpasses the weight of His glory V2 Shipwrecks and hardships and All our suffering Overt oppression, in- Grained, such tyranny God is here, Sees our tears then we realize ... Love for another like us, we empathize Remember, nothing surpasses the weight of His glory V3 Sin after sin He took All our guilt and blame Lash after lash and the Scurge of utter pain Crown of thorns, words of scorn Nail pierced hands and feet Justice bleeds, mercy weeps Hear the angels sing For all time nothing surpasses the weight of His glory Bridge: This side of heaven, We're here in God's presence, We will boast in our weakness Christ’s power Our light affliction Is with our conviction In the worth of the weight of His glory v4 Oh, diagnosis, oh, Why is this for me? Why can’t God heal me and End this suffering? Yes, Lord, perFect me, oh, Lord, please have Your way Make me like Jesus. You plan, I am but clay In our lives, nothing surpasses the weight of His glory v5 Ev’ry tear, all our fears Will be wiped away Undeserved hope assures We shall see His face All of life's tri-als will Seem to be so dim When we concider the Glow reflecting Him: Love is the reason we live for the weight of His glory Outro: When we are broken, we're open to Jesus - we abide.
