A straight poem set to music.
1 "Sparkle Dragon" by and by It will be mine with luck It was made up in Old Shanghai Cost of half of a duck. 2 Guitar Store Devil saw me com-ing Triple price the lie Bonus set his heart to drum-ming Jacked up to the sky 3 Guitar Store Devil tunes "the Dragon" Bangs a chord or three All the time his tongue is waggin "It seems made for thee" 4 I try a lick and like her well She has lit my fires Pulled me in and cast a spell although only wood and wires 5 So not a rube; I now make my play And call it like a hard man Pay the sticker? Not today That's no kind of bargain 6 Devil's eyes bug out in mock shock "Too expensive? Really? I see" Happy smile falls quite like a rock Friendly eyes now steely 7 Margins now pitifully small, so he will throw in a case He shall grant one last boon that's If I can still read a face 8 "Much too dear?" And sniffs as if I haven't washed for weeks Scratches just behind his ear And blows out both his cheeks 9 Guitar Store Devil; Satan's stoker Is sure that he holds sway His last card he plays The Joker It's half price today! 10 That's more like it; almost fair Thinks he has the clincher Now the bride is all but stripped bare It's my move; the pincer 11 It's eye to eye now, no breath doth stir My gaze like a hawk! A signature plectrum twin pack sir! Or out the door I walk 12 Some time later, dance through door and out Purchase gripped too hard Store Devil broken, put to the route Crossed swords with: The Bard!
