Story behind the song
In March 1965, Viola Liuzzo participated in the 3rd and final Selma March from Selma, Alabama to Montgomery. Only hours after the March had ended and while helping others to return back to Selma, she was murdered by the KKK. She is featured in the movie 'Selma'. She was married with five children. She was only 39. RIP Viola.

Awesome song, Keith!!!! Very jazzy and suavo. Great sax playing. It is fascinating the way you arrange your instruments and the various moods you create with each and every song. Lovely tribute to the woman.

A pungent and beautiful tribute to Viola Keith and to everyone who makes the ultimate sacrifice in standing for what they believe in.

Nice live drums. I could be in a beat-nick era bar somewhere in North Beach San Francisco. Sweet!

This reminds me of the '60s Jazz era - possibly in a movie with Audrey Hepburn :)) Well done Keith -

Thoughtful and thought provoking, this is music as cinema. The tune really does tell the story - heroism, tragedy, good, evil, and a sense of loss. It's all here. Fantastic piece and superbly well played.

In reading the story behind the song it's as if the music is accompanying what I'm reading. Excellent work!

Nice and airy structure leaves the imagination lots of room to wander along with the moody melodica into cinematic dreamland. nice!

A sorbet for the ears, clean and crisp sounding, easy on the mind. A thoughtful, well made tribute.
