Cathy Wetzel, originally from Littleton, Colorado, moved to Iowa in 1975. She was in a local band called CaFaye for 12 years with her husband Jerry, which is where she met Gregory who was their bass player and best man at their wedding. She has written many songs over the years that reflect the trials and successes of her life, which she has woven into a musical play and hopes to record it. She is currently in the band Rose ‘N Thorns that plays in the Quad Cities. Gregory Payton- I've been a Musician since my early teenage years. I started out wanting to be a guitar player and that was the first instrument that I owned. I switched to the bass after some friends and I wanted to put a band together and there was no one to play bass. My father was a well known musician in the area and had a band called the "Dukes of Rhythm" and the bass player had an old bass he wasn't using and gave it to me. So, that was the start of my musical career.

Lyrics
HOW DOES IT FEEL (The Bitter Pill) By C. Wetzel I can see you walkin’ a tightrope, walkin’ a tightrope over to me. I can see you stumble and freefall, grabbin’ on tightly to what you can’t see How does it feel to lose all control, trapped by yourself in a dark little hole. I can see you spinning in circles, spinning in circles going nowhere Faster, faster I hear the drum roll, cadence of despair filling the air How does it feel to fall on your face, fresh out of luck and lacking good taste? I can see you perched on the ledge, looking down at the deep blue sea. I can see you fall of the edge and land in the same boat as me. I can see you fumbling blindly, stumbling madly, toes in the air. I can see you looking distracted, shocked at the fact that nobody cares. How does it feel to be who you are? Burned by the flash of your own falling star. I can see by the look in your eyes, you’re sorry what you said to me. Now you know; you’ve walked in my shoes. How does it feel to be me? How does it feel to lose at the game? Everyone’s winning but you, Ain’t it a shame? I can see you walkin’ a tightrope, walkin’ a tightrope over to me.
