Come sail along with the original rock, folk-rock and modern country music of GALLEON ... Atlanta's unknown supergroup. We are making music real again!

GALLEON is an Atlanta-based musical group which is making music real again and steadfastly believes life is too short to settle for ordinary music. Comprised of Elliott & June Michaels, William Easterling, Andre Fountain, and now seeking other musicians to complete their sound, this electric outfit plays a variety of tasteful, well-crafted original rock, folk-rock, and modern country songs; and performing it all with a very high level of professionalism and our own unique and special style. Thus, the band makes music that sails above and beyond all the rest!

The chemistry and camaraderie among musical partners Andre, William, June, and Elliott is most evident in Galleon's cohesive and assertive sound, imposing stage presence, and commanding performance. The group appears often at Atlanta-area clubs and concert events, and they now seek other well-qualified and like-hearted musicians (drums, lead guitar, saxophone) to complete their sound as they look forward to playing their special brand of music throughout the Southeastern United States now that the virus crisis has blown out to sea. Story behind the song
Elliott Michaels wrote this song in 1987, when he was working with the non-profit Los Angeles Union of the Homeless. The lyrics sum up the passion Michaels feels about helping the much-less-fortunate, as he was helped along the way. Musically, Elliott was inspired by the sentiments and hooks of America by Neil Diamond and Running on Empty by Jackson Browne, but this song is pure Michaels and may be the best song Elliott has ever written. But don't take our word for it; rather, listen and judge for yourself!
