Lyrics
Once a proud land of freedom and might. America used to fly her flag Liberty bought with the blood of those who fought in the trenches of those foreign lands far away from the ones they loved And here throughout our land we all upheld our stand and we flew the Star Spangled Banner high and sang a song so grand. We had our ups and downs but our faith in God was sound But as the years went by some lost their sight of what gave us such hope. Bright sunny morning in early September a nation woke to a horrifying sight We watched in living color as the planes tore through the buildings and destroyed thousands of innocent just trying to get by A gloominess held on and their loved ones prayed and wept and a slogan told us we must not forget But now some take to their knees and refuse to pay respect to the land that have them the right to scorn and ridicule their home So many groups with hearts so grim seek to destroy her from within So much contempt for the Red, White & Blue Their words make my heart break They say she symbolizes hate.
